Lima Pods

As you know, I've never grown lima beans before, so I don't know what to expect. That also means that I don't know if things are going along as normal or if there is a problem. Like in  .... twisty young pods.

The vines look healthy and are producing baby pods. Lots of pods. But they are twisty. Is that normal? Will the straighten out as they mature?

Or could they be characteristic for this particular variety? I haven't the foggiest. But I'll keep an eye on them as time goes by and see what happens.
