New Volcano Action

Drove past the volcano yesterday and right in the mid afternoon we could see red pulses of glow lightning up the fume cloud above the crater. Wow, I've never seen that before during the bright afternoons. I'm guessing that we were witnessing some small rock falls. Each flash was accompanied by a dirty looking fume cloud. Pretty cool. .......... But I still wish the crater would seal over and stop for now. Enough is enough! The vog has been making life miserable for thousands of people. 

But boy that lava is pretty. Here's a nice nighttime pic......,..

This morning the lava is overflowing and spreading out into the caldera floor.
